(Northwood, Iowa) The Diamond Jo Casino announced today that their employment center will open on Thursday, November 3, 2005. The Center will be located in the lower level of the Northwood State Bank Building, Central Avenue in Northwood, Iowa.

The Diamond Jo Casino has already received many, many applications for the casino’s 400 or more positions. People who have already submitted an application do not need to come to the employment center. These applications are being processed by each Department. Candidates will be contacted as departments begin the interviewing process.

The employment center provides a convenient way for candidates to apply. The employment center will be open Thursday through Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

With a projected opening date in April 2006, the Diamond Jo Casino is expected to be the first of Iowa’s four new casinos to open. “We’re opening the employment center now because we need to train our dealers prior to the casino opening.” Jim Dickstein, General Manager, Diamond Jo Casino said. The free training for black jack, craps, poker and roulette dealers will last about 16 weeks, with both morning and evening training times available with participants attending 3-4 sessions each week.
